Wind turbine at the Kennington Oval in London

Please note: My name is ANTONIA, not Mimi, Diva, Naomi, Ana or anything of that sort. Please do not associate me with people who I do not have any affiliation who I have only associated with on hair forums.....I do not know these people personally, and they have no affiliations with my blog.

From what I gathered, the person I have mentioned here is one of the people who hacked my blog. I was not born in 1979 and some nutcases have been coming on to my computer desktop illegally. This girl apparently lived at my house as well, through the Property Management company I have told you about...Drugs were planted in my garden and they came to wreck my house....The videos are on my YouTube page.

Everyone who knows me knows who I am...They have hijacked my blog and continue to harass me on my computer.

This is a post about a wind spire I saw at the Oval, nothing more, nothing less.

I like recording interesting videos of interesting events or educational things that people can learn from or use.

This is an old recording I made of a wind turbine or wind spire I spotted at the Kennington Oval used to generate and store wind energy.

Would be nice if someone could leave a comment if they use one of these or comment with their thoughts and ideas.

VOA News Video New Vertical Wind Turbine Design ideal for Urban Areas

While watching a few videos on Youtube, I decided to look up wind turbines and wind power. I found an interesting video about a new wind mill design wind turbine inspired by the ancient Egyptians, which can be used in the urban setting. It is made by a company called Mariah Power and looks very interesting....

Green Architecture and Renewable Energy Buildings, An Ideal Home Scenario

If you were to design your perfect energy efficient house, what would it look like?

Mine would have Solar panels along the side wall that would open visor style to make a shade on hot days in the garden while collecting energy from the sun's rays. Also in the garden, there would be solar garden lights to provide light from dusk until dawn when they automatically switch off ready to store energy for later in the day.

In the toilet, I would have infrared toilet flush and infrared taps (no need to touch the handle to flush the loo or taps), which would be powered by solar and wind energy, you know those small wind turbines on the roof.

The infrared toilet flush and taps are also hygienic because you do not physically have to touch them. You just wave your hand in front of it, it detects movement and then automatically flushes the toilet or switches on the tap in order for you to wash your hands. Below are some examples of infrared flush and taps so you can see what they look like. The pink light is the sensor to detect movement.

There would be small wind turbines in the garden to generate energy for the house, and possibly a small roof mounted wind turbine or possibly two. (I have recently seen two large roof mounted wind turbines on some flats on the Old Kent Road, near Elephant and Castle and some smaller ones on my journeys around London).

I visited an acquaintance a few years ago and in the bathroom there were heated floor tiles in the bathroom, which was great because you did not have to walk around on cold tiles. These tiles used electricity and apparently the heating device was laid onto the floor before the tiles were assembled over them. In my ideal futuristic house, I would have a similar layout in the bathroom, but it would be powered solely by solar (photovoltaic panels) and wind energy.

Another acquaintance who lived outside London in Reading had a house with Solar panels along one side of the roof and halfway down the side of the house, the energy generated from these solar panels was enough to provide central heating for the whole house, a two bedroomed property (this was about 9 years ago). It would be nice to see more of these energy efficient buildings built for residential and commercial purposes making use of the space outside the buildings.

Off topic

While in conversation with a woman about a week or two ago, she told me that her neighbour had solar powered roof panels and sold her unused electricity back to the national grid. (see links below). It is amazing what you can learn while talking to people in random conversations.....Interesting!

The Future for Energy Efficiency - Solar, Wind, Hydro?

Solar powered homes - Buildings made with solar powered panels to trap daylight and use its solar energy source to heat the home. Electrical cars running on batteries recharged by solar energy from the sun.

Solar powered garden lights are an excellent way to bring some light to your garden at a very reasonable cost, the only problem with solar is that you need major sunlight or daylight in order for them to work very well. Solar powered lights would be excellent in places where there is constant sunshine and light, many places spring to my mind.

We are already using this. The picture below was taken on the evening of a very hot day in May this year. See my solar lights in the picture below which was taken after sunset when the lights automatically switch themselves on....

Wind Energy - In many countries, they are making use of wind energy, through the use of wind turbines. Wind energy can be used to pump water, take the old windmills as an example, and provide electricity using this natural energy resource. On a website I visited recently, I saw a Home Wind Turbine kit. In my opinion, this kit would prove very useful in some developing areas of the world where power cuts and outages occur frequently.

Hydroelectric power - The kinetic energy from flowing water is used to generate electricity and power houses and businesses.

Electric vehicles - The future for saving the world's oil resources and at the same time dramatically reducing pollution is the electric car. Many London boroughs and Transport for London are currently in the process of gradually introducing the electric car. They say it will improve air quality with zero emissions and owners of these green vehicles will be exempt from paying road tax....Sounds promising, since we are already highly overtaxed over here.

Electric car I spotted parked in London

Above you can see a picture of an electric car that I took, this was at London Bridge. It looks kind of small and funny, but hopefully this design can be improved upon. I have seen a lot of stylish electric cars that I certainly would want, but at present I do not have a car, the old banger that I had was stolen about 9 or 10 years ago, never to be seen again.

Gases from animal waste - Pig manure and other animal waste for energy recovery, although these methods have their pros and cons.
