The Coming Crisis: We can stop drought by tugging an iceberg to the Third World, claims scientist - 7th Aug 2011: "A bizarre plan to tow giant icebergs thousands of miles from the polar ice caps to drought-ridden hotspots in the Third World could soon...."

Well, I have often wondered about this since I was a little child, and of course I am still wondering why they haven't done it yet.....We can fly to space, but not move water in the form of ice to drought hit areas of the world at the present time.

Of course the aircraft shipping this ice would have to have a cooling system on board to keep the ice frozen.

In fact, I am surprised that there isn't a company doing this type of service on an ongoing basis.....It would certainly help to balance the environment inbalances, concerning water, more efficiently.
